1. How long does it take to build a website?

It really depends on how big you want your website to be.  As a rule of thumb, I can get a 3-page website done/submitted in about half a week.

2. Are SEO/meta tags actually effective?

They are.  I recommend getting a Google Search Console for your website.  That will let you set up SEO/meta tags for your website.  For example, when I first posted my website, I had a search rating (how far down a website shows up in search results) of 14.  After a few days and after I updated my SEO and meta tags, my rating jumped to 7.5.  Now it is at 5 (as of 10/5/2025).

3. What is SEO?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization.  SEO -- and meta tags too -- help people find your website when they search it in a search engine.   As part of my SEO/meta tags service ($20/page), I will set up a Google Search Console (abbreviated GSC) so I can put in the meta tags.  I will need the customer's email to set up the Search Console, so they can check their stats after they finish with me.

4. What do you use to create logos?

I use Paint 3D as I am wanting to get better at digital art.  I can use Canva if the customer so desires.

5. Is AI Useful For My Website?

Yes!  If you have an AI on your website, you can have it answer any questions the customer may have.  You can also have the AI set up so that it will copy what the customer says and email you the transcript.  The AI can give the customer a personalized experience, along with asking follow-up questions to determine whether a customer is just looking or is interested.  I can customize the AI to what the customer needs.

6. How Do You Get Your Prices?

I get my prices by examining the work I will be doing (shown below) and figure out how much my time/effort is worth.  I also take into account that my prices can be too low.  I do tend to charge lower than normal rates, not only due to my experience level, but also because I don't want to overprice my work.

Example:

Startup Bundle:

  • $80/page
  • $20 for a logo
  • $20/page for SEO/meta tags
  • $100/AI installation

For $80/page, that involves getting the pages set up to the customer's liking.

The logo service is self-explanatory.  I offer 3 free edits/redos.  After that, I charge $20/edit request.

The SEO/meta tags involves me setting up the SEO for each page.  I discuss more about SEO in FAQ #3.

The AI installation involves me customizing the AI to what the customer wants.  Since most web hosts accept HTML, I will be using the code I have to run Timothy (on the home page).

7. How should A Website Be Designed?

That is mostly up to the customer.  If it is left up to me, then I will make the website look formal, but not over the top.  This goes into another question I have planned to answer, but when the customer and I have the consultation, I will ask the customer about how they want their website designed.
